Ten Thousand Villages Oak Park
Ten Thousand Villages Oak Park partners with up to 4 locally run non-profit organizations per year to give back to the community. My primary duty when these partnerships are happening is to collect donations, inform community members of the partnership, and deliver the donations to the organizations when the partnership period ends.
Oak Park-River Forest Day Nursery
During the summer of 2021, Ten thousand Villages Oak Park was collecting coloring books and various toys from the community to deliver to the 60 children who were enrolled at the Day Nursery. After about 3 weeks, Ten Thousand Villages Oak Park was able to donate a total of 167 items which I helped collect from the community.

River Forest Medical Campus
During the month of October, Ten Thousand Villages in Oak Park partnered with the River Forest Medical Campus, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Customers at Ten Thousand Villages Oak Park were asked to purchase and donate either a bar of soap or a heart-shaped word rock to donate to current breast cancer patients to let them know they had the love and support of the community.
After about 3 weeks, Ten Thousand Villages was able to collect over 120 donations, which I participated in collecting.
All of the collected donations were presented at the River Forest Medical Campus' Think Pink event, which took place at the end of October.
