During the week leading up to my volunteering, I submitted an announcement to the Fashion Department notification board at Dominican University and made in-class announcements in an attempt to collect donations from Dominican University fashion students.

During my time as a volunteer at Glenbrook South High School, I organized donations by type of item, color, and size to make the selection more appealing and easier to navigate for students. I also interacted with students as they searched for various items.

I enjoyed the volunteer work I did because Homecoming should be a good experience for all students regardless of financial situation. It was also a good opportunity for me to connect with my community

I was invited to volunteer again in the spring when the high school collects and distributes items for prom by a member of the high school's staff.
